Many of our young men heard the call to serve their country and left to face the enemy. Many of their stories have been told via our exhibitions in August and September of 2014. Edited versions of the exhibition story boards have been put on line. These can be viewed as a separate presentation here. Not all of the men lost during the Great War have been included in this presentation, we do not have sufficient information to use for the display. If you can help us complete the history of all the men of Gargrave who lost their lives during this conflict we would be very pleased to hear from you.

We would also be very pleased to have information on all the men who came back from the war, their war experience and their lives after the conflict. If you have anything to share, please use the comment box below and let us know what you can tell us. If you have any relevant pictures and if you have any personal items or war souvenirs you could show us we would be happy to hear about these too.

If you would like further information, can provide us with further information, would like to become a contributor to this site or would like to offer your help, please send us your details and a brief description of how you can help via the comments box below.
